I will leave tomorrow for vacation, after working six hours. This week I have been really busy, I anyway made it until now. Tomorrow will be long busy day too....and this is my last post before the vacation.

I mentioned in another post that I have more photos about a children book about knitting. here it is.

This is a book by same author of the red yarn ball story. This book looks as if it is for children with pretty stories, but actually it is a knitting pattern book.

Like this, we have first a sweet ilustrations of animals put on various sweater.

But after that, there is detailed pattern of each garment, and a real photo of it.

Look this fabulous "Earth Sweater"!! At first it is presented as it is a sweater for imaginative story's character, but after that, it is really knitted up and become a real garment. I llike this idea, and appeance of the book. It is very original. In this book, there is six patterns. I am not sure if one day I would try to knit some of them myself, but anyway I like this book.

And, yes, I will be in vacation from tomorrow night!! Will try to report a little...

Yeey, I finished to knit up the yellow Scamp sweater!! Yesterday I finished second sleeve and today I made roll neck part. Now the most disturbing part starts....sewing. Ugh.....but anyway, I can see the end now and I assume I can bring it for vacation. Very sorry I cannot put the finished garment photo immediately.

Today I tidy up all the mess at home, tomorrow I start packing for my suitcase. Finally I decide to be reasonable.....for vacation project. I will bring a socks for my son, another for me, and Pagan tank. I believe it would be enough for 10 days vacation, I have other things to do with my Dh's in-lows, and I want to swim everyday. As I am now alone to take care of my son and all preparation for vacation and finish up all details at work, I feel like I have to remember 15 things always ....it make me think my current reading book, "I don't know how she does it" by Allison Pearson.
It is working mother story and stunningly real. I love this book and have mentioned time to time for friends and colleagues, but looks if you are not in same situation i.e. full-time working mother, they don't understand what is interesting about this book....I am a little sorry about it.
It is really good book.

Oh, how I could find the time to read ? It made in the train between home and work. Wo I read everyday, but a bit.

Sorry I could not put photos I promised. First I could not take them because I could not use camera, and second until today my DH did not have time to put data into stock file. Anyway, here is my current status of son's sweater. I like it very much now, I finished back and front and first sleeve.

This is close up of the pattern. Did I mentioned this sweater is "Scamp " design of Rowan's Pipsqueaks?

And these are wool mix and acrylic preemie caps sanitarized. Became completely felted and hard, impossble to use for preemies. As sample, I would keep them.

These are the yarn I have recently received from elann. They are all 100% linen, and I planned to make a summer tank with them. But when I made swatch, I found they are too scratchy for me. So I changed the plan, maybe I will use them for a bag which I would like to make one day, named "Cherry Pie", Rowan design found in magazine #21. I guess the gauge could match enough with the original yarn, and anyway it is a bag, the size would not cause the fatal problem.

I have a little more photo stock for next post. Will show you another Japanese knitting book for children and adults.

On Friday, I met a nurse chief person at NICU. I handed some preemie goods and she gave back to me the caps I made before by wool and miserably transformed into felt by sanitarizing prosess. It became really felt, and I assume that one was wool mix with acrylic. I wanted to try some more washable wool mix yarn but they could be ended like it....we will see. Other than that, we found out that maybe we had better to get larger size for preemie cap, since the size I have made is slightly smaller than NICU standard baby, though of course it could be used, she told me. I then try to make a little bit larger one next and check it out.

Minako is now preparing an ad page in her site for this preemie goods project. I do not know how could I appreciate it, for her real kindness and chality spirit. Without her, this priject could not get any ad in this very early stage. I really, really thank you, Minako!

By the way, my DH will leave next Tuesday for England, for business purpose. I made a yarn list to get(!!)if he happens to bump into any sale in London, and LYS list at London and Manchester. One of my blog reader, Laurie, has kindly provided me the shop information at Manchester, which I hardly can get alone. Thank you Laurie!

But instead, I cannot up here any photos for about 3 weeks!! Our digital camera is his and he brings it to England. And after that we will be in summer vacation. So far I will put some photos within today for latest update. During my summer vacation, which will start on July 19, I believe I could update blog but could not put any photos.
