released

No, this is not the yarn, it is myself....since the week of April 14, I was quite tied up for job, and while it was tough and hard to get over, I have been kind of happy and fulfilled. Finally it looks that I can reach the working condition I wished since having left full-time work at the end of 2006.
Now my work is divided in two category, one is hand dyeing and the other is completely another job, yet I can do it from home. Recently I get the assignment quite regularly, but with a bit time to spare, so I can dye yarn, take care of boys, knit, have a cup of tea.
This last two weeks was quite tense though, somehow I managed finally and released today... I am happy about it.

So this morning after the last submission, I did some errands here and there, stayed happily at Ravelry, took yarn photo....enjoyed my liberty. I fondle it because I don't know how long it last, all the more precious so far.

Some landom pictures...these are unreleased colorway of Laine Claude yarn. Now this yarn is discontinued and this skein has some undesired spots, so I kept it for myself. I love this colors.

These are mini skeins of my yarns. During my working time, I made them now and then for a change. These are from my orphan yarns, make me grin.

Other than that since last week, I am kind of frastrated too. It is clearly due to lack of dye work. Since two weeks ago I have not yet dyed, because my boy stays at home with me for his spring vacation. Next week he will be back to school and my affair with yarn will be settled again. I will release ANOTHER new yarn soon.

yarn after yarn

Last winter was remarkable for me, in kids flu issues.
Since I've got my boys so for 8 years, every winter was a kind of nightmare due to baby's sick, coughing, crying, had to take day offs at the last moment, etc. I quitted office work at the end of 2006, and the winter 2007-2008 I stayed completely at home, no problem to take care of kids if necessary, and they did NOT get flu at all(though once elder one got infected gastroenteritis). Especially my 3yrs. He was completely fine....That was very nice.

Instead, I was quite sick three times. It is quite rare for me. Maybe I guess some part of me got finally relaxed from busy working mother life, I mean I released the tension I had always when I kept my working and mothering balanced life. Now I work somehow a very bit at home, to get some extra money (you know for what), but the situation is completely different. It is nice, except getting sick!

BTW, I've just released my new yarn, Margo at my shop(see right bar)and just yesterday I finished my Margo sock.

This is my sample socks, to assure the yardage is enough for making a pair of woman socks. I made rib and cable sock and it took only slightly more than 70g. My skein is 100g for 330 yards, so it should be OK!! Oh, and the pattern is my original, just knitted up.

And another photo...

This is swatching with my not-yet-released yarn. This would be an substitute of Laine-Claude. This fabulous red is really this red...very deep, rich red. I happened to dye this color by coincidence, but I LOVE this red so I will try to make it again one day....
