American Idol and Bravia (not knitting related)
Hi there, now you might guess, I am a bit busy...for my another job. It should be complete by next Tuesday, so I will update then. Also this week I didn't do dye work so nothing to report here...
BTW, I became suddenly geek in AIs. I found them by coincidence from MSN's Japanease site. Now everyday I listen to their singing by Youtube. I like Melinda and Blake and Chris. Too bad I live in Japan and cannot go to their summer tour, haha!
Also, I love now Sony's Bravia CM(superball version) and its music. That's so breathtakingly beautiful and touching.... and it is made by Sony US, I believe we normally cannot see that in Japan. I found it from their site.
We need something touching and beautiful in life, don't we? That creation brought me many good thinkings.

knitting issue
Acutally, this post contains knitting stuffs! Now, I am surprised that when I prepared these recent photos, I recognized I had no folder for May 2007 photos. That means I didn't take any knitting-related photos during the month(except the handdyed yarn). Not good.
And I have finally something to show you:
This is the yarn I chose for my Sockapalooooza pal. Sweet Georgia's "Willow". This is so brilliant and alluring, I just cannot resist to try it. I love the yarn but this is not my color. I have kept this beautiful yarn in my stash just for eye until now, and found this is my pal's color. so I dived.
And another photo... very, very slowly I knitted this recently and finished some days ago:
Do you remember this? It is my "Shifting Sand socks" FO! Since I have finished the first sock( see March 5 entry ), I didn't knit the second one for a long time. Finally that became a pair! I love this very neat looks, but this socks is very dense and don't have any elasticity. again the specs:
Pattern: My own, courtesy of Grumperina's Shifting Sand scarf pattern
Yarn: Sundara Yarn 's merino sock yarn, somewhat solid "Light navy over Pink"
Details: 75 stitches to cast on(40 for instep and 35 for sole), short-row heel, 3x2 ribs
Needle: US#1 Susan Bates dpns
And the diving photo just as of today:
My pal looks like liking textured sock but not lacy. The pattern I chose is Adrian's "Cable Twist Socks", and I REALLY enjoy knitting this pattern. For adjusting the weight, I followed Grumperina's(again! yes, I am big fan of Kathy)instruction(BTW, her sock also is green!). I would knit this socks for myself or DH or in-Ls one day for sure!

no desire
The shop goes well just the way I hoped. I upload a bit and sell them a bit. I am literally kitchen dyer and I cannot make much at once. For I have absolute limited time to do it, to clean up perfectly all the dyeing stuffs well before my boy coming back home. For now, I am quite happy as it is.
And...just some days ago, I recognized something stunning. I am quite happy without knitting anything. I don't knit recently. I feel just....neutral about it, and no intention, no desire.
That is not good.....not at all. But I have applied to participate Sockapalooooza 4, so minimum I have to knit a pair of sock for my recepient soon. I hesitate now if I dye for her or choose the yarn from my stash. I wanted to make the yarn at first, but today when I looked into my stash for the purpose, some of them were calling me...
So far again, there is no photo. Sorry. Maybe next time, I will show some "sneak peek" photo of my yarn?!
