Knitting mojo
My knitting mojo has been recently came back to me....I am so happy about it and peaceful thanks to it. Thank you for those who sent me kind words about it.
I made though some efforts to detect it again. I tried not to open my mail box for work at night at home, not to think about concerns about current tasks, and tidy up home around to find my yarn, needle and mojo. As I have been stressed out and so busy awhile, my house was such a mess, and the very confused environment made me so disturbed, weak and neglectful for knitting. After this cleaning and making distance myself from the work, I found again a room for knitting calmness.
So far I first found and checked my last winter's WIPs and ideas at waiting list, and picked up these:
1)Hourglass Sweater from Last minute knitted gifts,
2)A fluffy hooded pullover from Vogue Knitting 2005 Fall,
3)Betty jacket from Rowan #38
Hourglass is WIP, so I restart this one first. and when I finish this, I would start Cactus Flower. After that if possilble, I will make hooded pullover and Betty...see? I regain my mojo!
For the pullover I've got already the yarn for it in last winter, but not yet for Betty. I won't try the required Yorkshire Tweed DK, instead I would use my Rowan's favorite, Felted Tweed.
And in knitting Hourglass happily, DS first told me two days ago that he wanted a cardi for chilly evening on his pyjamas. Before, he had a mustard colored soft cardi(bought) for the purpose, but now it is too small for him. He needs a new confy cardi at home.
It made me remember that this knitting on-season means at the same time the beginning of the "knitting in need" for others, especially for kids in my case. They need new hats, gloves and scarves almost every year. Though, a cardigan should take more time than a hat, I thought first about buying one because it looks he needs it immediately, so I searched a bit. The result is that: a soft confy knitted cardi is quite hard to find for his age(for me, minimum). Most clothes for 7-8 ages boy are 1)using zipper for closure, or 2)pull-over type, or 3)classic navy blue v-neck sweater/cardi for school uniform or whatever, which looks very fine gauge and thin, decent but not-so-confortable-at-home style.
I imagined a simple soft roomy cardi, with button closure. And I cannot find it. So far here it is:
I started out...a cardi for DS first. Today. The yarn is Skasel's "Vacation", Cotton-Nylon brend. The touch is towel-like, and besides this yarn might be for summer, but looks nice for the purpose. I've got this yarn when elann had them on sale last year or so. The pattern is "Riddler" from Tadpoles and tiddlers.I have not so much time to complete it... and many other projects are calling me. I am in a hurry.
Oh, and for Cactus Flower, I am now in waiting status to getting Kidsilk Haze. I have nothing but this swatch to show you:
The pink part is with the oddments of Kidsilk Splay of Electra. And....now I remember that fair-isle cardi's uncountable yarn ends to weave in....ugh!!!!!!!!!!!

????
I am glad that your need to knit has come back. Things feel empty without having knitting. I am starting to think about making my son a sweater, but he is big and it will take me a long time!
