Updates
Well, slowly and everyday, I find some odd moments to knit and continue.I open my laptop less often than before, instead I pick up needles.

Bobby sweater is small garment, the needles and yarn are also appropriately narrow and fine, so far. I try to finish by the end of the year.

Clapotis is the joy to knit. The yarn is fabulous and the solid rhythm of ktbl is very confortable. It doesn't look much progress, but now I believe I have already passed the half.

This is a new WIP...It could be a gift for a friend who is always so kind to me and my DS, offering a ride on the way home. I wanted to use the mohair yarn too. This is an Airy scarf from Last minute knitted gifts. I didn't think knitting very fine mohair with big needle isn't so easy. You have to be careful not to mess up.

And these are yarns for a kind of secret project...you will see soon.

Project PUCOWIPS-1
Two days ago I looked into my two principal knitting totes. I found five WIPs in them. Five. Two for S/S season, two for A/W, and one for a gift-might-be-one-day.
So my brain sent me a signal for starting Project "Pick up and complete old WIP series". I've got it. And I did it today:

I checked my blog entries and found I have casted it on last December and restarted last September. When I found that, first one finished and just had to knit ten or some rows for closing toe for the second one. I just don't understand myself. WHY I have left that sock in this status?? Today I completed this second toe and put them on:

My project PUCOWIPS-1 has safely completed. Just in time, because these days Tokyo's night became very cold!
Though, I am working on my Bobby sweater too. I have finished the back and casted on the front. No need to say, but it is the very first Project PUCOWIPS-0.

That's not new
What am I talking about? Oh, it is a kind of feeling. I FEEL, recently, a strong urge to knit. Yes. It is not new, it is, I believe, the same one that I have felt three years ago. I just think about knitting all the time, patterns I am interested in, yarns I want to get, arrangements to sneak a bit of time, etc. And I found this project:

This is a WIP sweater for my baby, abandoned almost a year ago. The yarn is Rowan True 4ply Botany, fine and good yarn. The pattern is "Bobby" by Louisa Harding, from Tadpoles & Tiddlers of Rowan. I liked this pattern very much and I have searched the original yarn of the book, it has already discontinued, but I found, and bought from England.
I recognised that the size I started is 1-2 yrs , and right now my baby boy is 1 years and a half. It is NOW his very size and I must complete within some weeks, if not, this would turn into a "sweater-in-no-need".
So far this is my current top priority. I knit this tiny stockinettes with 3.25mm needles, and this time I actually enjoy it. I hope I could finish soon...though I am now at the middle of the back.
BTW, have you already checked Teva's "Loop-d-Loop"? This book is my best knitting pattern book of this year, I love this stunning originality. I absolutely have to knit this:

Actually this design made me buy this book. and I found this:

So Beautiful...and I want to knit this too:

and this:

For the first one, I have tried hard to get the original yarn, Needful Yarn's "Van Dyke" but it is too difficult to purshase it from Japan. So I gave it up and selected the substitute. Will show you soon. The problem is, it is not realistic to knit them all within a winter....(And if course I have my Clapotis!!)

Autumn update
I know it's too late, but I anyway post about Knit Out Tokyo 2005:

This is the second knitout in Tokyo. Actually, since last year's this event at Roppongi, some other small knitouts have reported in other places in Japan. This big ones is sponsored by Clover, and colabolated with Sturbacks this year. We can get a kit-bag of scarf or hair band for free, needles and yarns inside with easy pattern for beginner. Last year it was only for knitting, this time there is a choice of knitting or crocheting. I've got a knitting one:

I have brought my Clapotis to the place, and after trying to knit a little with this kit happily I pick up my Clapotis and knitted. Some fashion shows, talk shows, hot coffee (no Latte, too bad!) and knitting. It took place in a warm autumn day, it was really nice!
My clapotis is now in this status:

It is less difficult than imagined, I enjoy to knit this. Dropping stitch zoom:

I have just started the second skein...the long way to complete for me. But, you know, now Knitting Season is coming and I feel itchy to start other projects!! I have also last winter's project....
BTW, recently I've got some knitting related books:

Now I read Knitlit Three. I LOVE this series. I just feel happy that I have some knitting-related books to read, waiting....
