Work makes me happy
No progress for my own knitting.....though, I am a little happier than ever. Why?
Currently, we are preparing some crafty books for autumn and winter season. It is rather a book of crafty ideas for making easy-to-make-but-pretty-enough stuffs. It includes some sewing, some knitting and crochetting all for beginner. Now I am in charge of knitting & crochetting part, to organize the designs into the real stuff. No, I don't knit all the item, I am not professional knitter. But I have to make patterns with the appropriate yarn selection to pass them to our knitters for samples. So, my task includes for example to make swatches to get gage. I CAN KNIT AT OFFICE AS MY WORK now...it just makes me happy.
BTW, I have just received these:

Two knitting books that I ordered at Amazon. Yey! It makes me happy too!

Just update
Thanks for your comments on my previous post and it makes me wonder, that I would post crafty events infos here in advance, in the future. It is true that it's a little difficult to find that kind of infos for foreigners around Tokyo, but it was really big expo, finally counted more than 100,000 visitors this year. There is not so many crafy events in this scale, but ladies, I will let you know next time in advance, in order to be able to go there!
BTW, I bought a embroidary kit from DMC, at the hobby show.

I am interested in cross-stitch too, did a bit years ago, but you know, I have NEVER EVER time to do it after completely hooked by knitting....though, this time I've bought it, since it was a kit I wanted to try if one day I could find it, and I happened to find it at the booth of DMC at the show. I have already seen this one in their catalogue, and loved it...This is for a bag, and a ready-made bag is included in the kit. I want to try this summer....
My knitting is so far not progressing so much....

This is a baby cardi for gift. It is easiest cardi pattern I've ever found, and it is baby size, but I am yet in this place...gee...
In addition to that, today I found a mail in my e-mail box, it was a news from a friend of mine, who had got a baby boy on May 18. HEY, I have to knit one more gift!!!

Japan Hobby Show
Well, last week I have visited Japan Hobby Show, a big hobby & craft show in Japan. As I am now in the industry it was a part of my job, but it was fun! The was rather exposition for public than professional trade show, and there was so many stuffs there....it was my first visit to that kind of show, so everything was a surprise for me. It includes every hobby and craft product, from embroidery to lace, scrapbooking to stamps, fablic to ribbons...there was not so much yarns, since it was not the season. Though of course, I was enough sneaky to find them...

These are very silky cotton yarns, fingering weight. I would make scarfs with them one day...
BTW, this weekend I knitted some rows for a baby cardi. Will show you soon.

another project in need
No photo today. But anyway I am posting a bit. I knit my Bardot Sweater in the bus for 10 minutes every morning, and weekdays at night, I knit DH's sweater. I am YET in the bottom rib....gee...currently my Alchemy Silk tank is forgotten aside.
Oh, and I have to add one another project. At the beginning of May, DH's cousin got a baby girl. A girl. So I want to knit something as a gift...my children are boys and I want to knit something girly-cute-tiny stuff! I will meet her and her mother in coming summer, so I am now planning to knit something for her. Normally I knit a hat for a baby gift, but this time I would knit something larger...I found a lovely and easy baby cardi in Elika Knight's book for baby. Now I am choosing yarn...will show soon.

Casted on
I casted on DH's summer sweater, finally. 122 stitches for the back. Ladies, this number just makes me tired....after a baby vest. Though, this would be very-simple-nothing-complicate-easy-for-beginners sweater. The yarn is variegated and aran weight, so I hope I could knit up fast enough....(i.e. "fast enough" means that it could be weared within the appropriate season)
So far stash enhancement(absolutely no relation):

Blue Sky Alpaca's Cotton yarn. I fell in love with the shade at a first sight. It is a first time to get Blue Sky Alpaca's yarn. Now I am dreaming and searching a pattern for this yarn...I've got 500g and it is worsted weight, Any idea?
I've ordered them at Kristine's new online shop. it arrived like that:

That's cute and nice!

Complete baby vest
I completed Bob vest for my baby a day before Yesterday, and I was writing a quite long post yesterday night, but Puff! suddenly my PC's screen became black, and all dissapeared....I wasn't in a mood to rewrite all over again at that time, so far I am trying now again:

I tried it on him yesterday and it looked great! That would be used well this spring until summer...very useful knitting.
As I finished this one, now my "bus knitting" is switched to Bardot sweater. From today, I am bringing it, hoping it could get some progress before the spring becomes summer.
So now, I have to cast on my DH's summer sweater by Topacio. This time I made again a swatch and confirmed that I should downsize the needles. If not, it would look too loose....so I have to calcurate the size and gauge, etc. Gee. Anyway, after knitting 1)my summer shell 2)DS's spring sweater 3)another but same baby vest, I have YET 20 balls of the very yarn Topacio. I HAVE TO CONSUME IT BEFORE SUMMER!
BTW, I have other project that I am dying to cast on...

Intentional stash enhancement. I want to knit "Nothing but a T-shirt" pattern's Calmer T-shirt by Alison. I love this pattern! I am not sure, though, when I could cast on it....
