Can knit anything

Yesterday my DS's kindergarten had a festive event. I didn't know what it was, but anyway all the kids have been required to disguise for a kind of fancy dress parade. My DS chose to be "Oni", a Japanese demon from every Japanese old stories for kids. It is like this:

He had prepared a paper mask for it, so far now a mystery FO from last post got its role like that:

He put on his red jeans, red pullover shirt and that order-made "Oni-no-Pantsu"(Demon's shorts) and matching wrist bands. Actually it is rather a skirt, but it is like that! I even made "Tsuno"(Demon's horn)with some leftover yarn.

It was so much fun and very fast knitting. I knitted that shorts by "Dali" of Filatura di Crosa with 8mm needles, all garter stitch, one edge kept straight and the other increased and decreased repeatedly, at random. I was lucky, because when I've got this idea of knitting the garment, I dashed to LYS and found that yarn on sale. Dali is a perfect yarn for this purpose! So far I understand, that if I want or need, I can knit any bizarre stuff...

That is so funny - and the Dali is really the perfect yarn for this! You did a great job with your son's costume.´
