Second FO for 2005
Just finished the vest....
I wrote "finished", but actually I have NOT yet completed....I have to weave all ends. Gee. You can imagine. I like the stripes, but the form is not so nice....I will try to take a photo the vest on me, when it is really completed.
Now, I am swatching with a very old Rowan yarn, named "4ply eighty". Someone ever heard about this yarn?? Me never. Here is an episode why I've got this yarn and am swatching now.
The other day when I visited Rowan Shop, the lady showed me this yarn. She explained that she found it somewhere in their warehouse and there many packs of 10 balls, for only two colors(ivory and brick orange). Originally that yarn had eighty colors and sold in the big box of eighty balls in it. She herself has this yarn box in her private stash but she doesn't know the price for each ball. The ball is 25g small and very fine yarn. She doesn't know how to do with them now. Looking at this yarn, I've got an idea and asked her if I can try it. She was very glad and gave me two balls. That's it. I will show you soon....

Beautiful vest. I'm very guilty of calling a project done too even though I haven't finished all the sewing needed to actually complete the project.
