I didn't forget
This time, to take the WIP vest photo:

The pink rib part is knitted by Jaeger Matchmaker Merino Aran and the rest is Kid Classic, except Red yarn. I am quite enjoying this knitting now, but at first, I had some problems to solve.
1. This pattern calls for DK weight yarn.
2. This instruction is asking to use two strands of yarn for rib part, and the rest is normal one strand.
3. Number two requires the number of stitch to cast on as if you use aran-chunky yarn, but for the body with DK you need to increase stitches to adjust the size
At first I didn't read well the pattern and I was confused why I have to use #8/5mm needles for ribbing and after to use #6/4mm needles for body. I also didn't notice that pattern requires DK and I assembled my aran weight leftovers. But after I found out above, I understand my problem.
So far these are what I did to adjust:
1.I anyway use my leftover yarns of aran weight
2.In the contrary of the pattern instruction, I used #6 needles for cast on and ribbing, #8 needles for body, using the yarn one strand throughout.
3.I didn't increase stitches at the end of ribbing as instructed, however as there is some decreasing just before this increasing row, I added the lost stitches again as it was. Normally I have to increase stitches by many kbf, but instead I did M1 four times and that's it.
Until now, my adjustment looks OK...we will see if it work out.
By the way, this is a photo taken this morning:

This is the hat for DS, by Rowan Yorkshire Tweed Aran which I showed you at the previous post. And this evening:
My first FO for 2005. Modeled by DS. The pattern is Isla, from Rowan Junior, slightly changed the ribbing and no ponpon. It completed bigger than estimated, so I sewed inside a stretch trasparent cord to tighten the edge. Now looks OK... Tomorrow he will put it on when going out, I wish....
By the way, this is the first time I tried Yorkshire Tweed Aran. I found this yarn is quite hard, like felted, AND fragile. It was cut off twice when I was casting on. I doubt the elasticity isn't enough as 100% wool yarn, for my shoulder ached after knitting this for a while. The only good points are that is NOT itchy, and is very beautiful color combination. But other than that.....I might make a matching scarf for him with the same yarn, but I will never make sweaters or something bigger than that using this.

Hi !
It is always difficult to make adjustment if the yarn weight is not same as pattern mentioned. I think you really did a good job for your left over yarn.
The hat looks good. It is a common problem for Rowan's yarn : hard and fragile ! I do avoid to knit with Felted Tweed due to this problem.
Happy knitting !

Hi Rae, thanks so much for visiting my blog! I think I cannot make the next SNB but one day, maybe soon, I will be there. I promise!
Eva, thanks for the comments for my efforts. That became more complecated one for neck decreasing but I think I could handle it....
For the yarn, Felted Tweed is much softer than Yorkshire Tweed, I think. You can try it! My Elise cardi is Felted Tweed.
